Disasters strike without warning. Natural calamities like flood, cyclone, earthquake or any other mishappening bring heaps of troubles on all of us. People are rendered homeless. Their properties are ruined. While many people are aware of the terrible impact of disasters throughout the world, few realize that this is a problem that we can do something about. The devastating tsunami on 26th December’04 and the terrible tremor in Bhuj on 26th January’01 were one of the most fatal furies of nature in the past 40 years.



Now becoming aware of the nature’s dark side, nations have started to think over possibility of a technology that warns people about such disasters well in advance so that people can take a shelter in a safer place.
