控制器的设计采用以C51单片机为核心，以红外对管为传感器，结合软件编程，实现计数和判断，计数的结果反映到与单片机相连接的7段译码器上显示出来。当判断结果成立时，单片机驱动一个光耦继电器，使蜂鸣器报警，并使电磁阀工作，达到保护煤气阀的功能。
