-Describes a feature-based image query and retrieval system. The system consists of query module, feature extraction and descr iption of the module, matching module, image display module and image database management module. System not only supports color, texture, shape single feature queries, and also supports a combination of different features more in line with requirements of the integrated features of the visual query. The system has been carried out with the actual image database query and retrieval experiments, the paper gives some actual search results.
