Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is a multicarrier modulation method with the initial idea to overcome multipath fading in a wireless environment. Multipath effect causes an unacceptable symbol in multiple copies but with a different time causing inter symbol interference (ISI) between the symbols in the receiver.
