There is an increasing energy demand in the world. Currently the main energy resources are fossil fuels,
which are non-renewable energy resources that eventually will drain out. In addition the emissions
produced fossil fuels contribute to global warming. In order to maintain a sustainable future, these
energy sources should be phased out by more suitable alternatives. The hope is that Wave Energy
Converters (WECs) and other renewable energy sources can pay a part as substitutes and contribute to
