本规范对中国移动网络内各MMS相关实体之间的接口进行规范，以保证中国移动通信集团MMS业务系统在多厂家环境下能够顺利开展业务。

本规范以3GPP和WAP论坛的相关标准为依据，并结合了中国移动特定的业务要求，为中国移动MMS业务网络的设备引进、网络规划、工程设计、网络运行、管理和维护等提供技术依据。
