tem. The Modulator/ Demodulator adopt s OFDM (Ort hogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) tech2

nology to solve t he antinomy between t he high2speed data t ransmission and t he limited cable band2

width. The principle of OFDM is int roduced fir st . Based on t he OFDM principle , architecture block

diagram and hardware block diagram of t he cable Modulator/ Demodulator are designed and are de2

scribed in detail . OFDM Modulation/ Demodulation flowchart is al so presented and elaborated. Field

test result s demonst rate t hat the cable Modulator/ Demodulator design is practical and feasible.
