New Midas Library是一组三层控件，可以使你方便地把双层应用快速移植成三层的应用，以适应在Internet使用的需求。当前版本支持和.NET和Java平台进行数据交换。开发人员可以使用.NET或Java在服务端编程，输出MIDAS数据包给DELPHI应用，DELPHI应用进行处理后，将修改回传给服务端，充分利用不同开发平台的长处和已有资源，构造简单灵活的数据库应用。
特点
New Midas Library基于DELPHI原有MIDAS的某些技术，进行一些改造，在技术有自己的特点。
1.使用了客户端SQL的方式自动生成更新SQL，简化三层开发观念，避免开发和调试繁琐的中间层业务逻辑，减少开发成本。
2.保留了原有MIDAS中强劲的内存表控件TClientDataSet，使客户端的编程更容易。
3.使用连接控件分隔客户端和中间服务层，使客户端可以和多个不同的服务端进行连接。
4.提供TJxLocalConnection控件可以直接和数据库相连接，具有很高的效率。在需要的时候，可以随时切换到其它连接。这种功能十分适合应用程序所在的环境变换频繁的情况，以及演示版的应用的开发。
